Meet Our Expert Team

Arnel D. Gamilde, RMT is an expert embryologist with over 10 years experience in a top-notch Middle East IVF lab. He has practical and theoretical knowledge in oocyte retrieval, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), in vitro culture of eggs/embryos, and cryopreservation either by slow freezing or vitrification. A senior embryologist, he also has a solid background in Andrology having been a supervisor in the Andrology laboratory for many years. His experience at the Dr. Soliman Fakeeh Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a facility which does about 900 IVF cycles per year and is a melting pot of African, Asian, and European co-workers and patients, has come in handy. He currently doubles as CARMI’s  chief embryologist and laboratory manager.

Mr. Gamilde obtained his medical technology degree at the Manila Central University in 1992. His recent training in oocyte vitrification, in vitro maturation (IVM) of oocytes, and laser assisted hatching in Vietnam solidifies his role as among the most experienced and expertly trained Filipino embryologists around.

April Randel C. Rosales, RMT is a board-certified medical technologist who obtained his degree in BS Medical Technology from the University of Santo Tomas. A quick learner and hard worker, Randel is CARMI’s andrologist and represents the new breed of young aspiring Filipino scientists in the field of assisted reproductive technology (ART). Because CARMI is the first laboratory in the Philippines to offer sperm DNA fragmentation test (Halotest), Randel has become the first Filipino to perform these diagnostic tests in evaluating the fertilizing capacity of sperm.
